Sponsor the Python Developer Tooling Handbook

February 14, 2024·Tim Hopper · Markdown

The Python Developer Tooling Handbook is free, independent, and ad-free. Sponsorship helps fund current guidance for Python packaging, dependency management, linting, testing, type checking, CI, and publishing.

Python tooling changes fast. uv, Ruff, type checkers, packaging standards, and publishing workflows keep moving, and official docs often avoid recommending a practical default. The handbook exists to turn that churn into usable guidance.

Fund current guidance

Sponsorship supports:

  • Updating pages when tools and standards change
  • Writing new guides for common team workflows
  • Testing commands before they become recommendations
  • Keeping the site free of ads and paywalls

Preserve editorial independence

Sponsors do not control recommendations. The handbook takes clear positions, explains the trade-offs, and keeps sponsor support separate from editorial judgment.

If the handbook saved you time or helped your team choose a Python tooling setup, consider sponsoring the project on GitHub.
